UNCIEF says over 200 children killed in Lebanon in past 2 months
More than 200 children have been killed and 1,100 injured over the last two months in Lebanon, a spokesperson for UNICEF said on November 19th according to Asharq Al-Awsat and agencies.
“The number of over 200 (children killed) is just in the last two months. It’s at least 231 since the start of the war last year,” James Elder told a press briefing in Geneva in response to a reporter’s question about casualties.
He did not state who was responsible for the killings, saying that it was clear to people who follow the media. The war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon has escalated in recent months, and Israel launched a ground invasion of the country at the start of October.
