Hezbollah spokesperson killed by Israel in Beirut
A Lebanese security source has said that Mohammed Afif, Hezbollah spokesperson, was killed by an Israeli strike in Beirut on November 17th, according to the Arab News via AFP.
The source, requesting anonymity as they were not authorized to brief the media, said “the strike on Ras Al-Nabaa killed Hezbollah media relations official Mohammed Afif.”
Ali Hijazi, secretary-general of the Lebanese branch of the Baath party in whose office the strike hit, “confirmed the death of Hezbollah media official” Afif, the official National News Agency reported. Israel’s army declined to comment.
The Lebanese health ministry stated that the strike killed one person and wounded another three, adding that this was a provisional toll and that work was ongoing to remove rubble from the site of the strike.
