West Bank gets cash for hospitals and schools from France & UK

While Gaza continues to make the headlines for having its hospitals destroyed by Israel, health facilities in the West Bank are getting a shot in the arm to keep going.

France and Britain granted 19.7 million dollars (18 million euros) in emergency aid to the Palestinian Authority on 10^th of October to help fund health and education services there, according to AFP.

The Palestinian Authority (PA) faces “persistent challenges” due to the war in Gaza, violence in the West Bank, and the Israeli government’s withholding of customs revenue, Palestinian Planning and International Cooperation Minister Wael Zaqout said at a press conference in Ramallah.
