World leaders urge restraint following Iranian strikes on Israel

World leaders have called on Iran and Israel to de-escalate and avoid all-out war following Tehran’s rocket attack on its neighbour – Iran said the attack was in response to the killing of Iran-supported militant leaders, according to the Arab News via AFP.

China and Russia called for de-escalation, the latter criticizing the “complete failure,” of Joe Biden’s leadership, while the UN Secretary General condemned the “broadening conflict.”

Iran’s attack was harshly condemned by governments including the US, the UK, Spain and France, while Israel has vowed to retaliate, with military spokesperson Daniel Hagari stating “this attack will have consequences. We have plans, and we will operate at the place and time we decide.”
