Lebanese PM hopeful ceasefire can be reached
The Lebanese PM is hopeful a ceasefire between IDF and Hezbollah is possible, according to Asharq Al-Awsat and agencies on September 26th.
The US and France have been working on drafting an interim agreement to end the hostilities between the parties, calling for a 21-day ceasefire.
“I don’t see that we can have a (broad) agreement but a form of interim agreement in order to avoid further escalation. This is the effort right now especially from the United States and France,” claimed Cypriot president Nikos Christodoulides, adding “avoid further escalation to give time to diplomacy to find a permanent solution”.
