Hezbollah threatens Israel after pager blast in Lebanon
Hezbollah threatened to punish Israel after pager blast across Lebanon, according to AFP via Arab News on September 18th.
The explosion killed nine people and injured at least 2,800, 200 of them critically.
Amongst the victims, the attack killed the 10-year-old daughter of a Hezbollah militant in Bekaa Valley, east Lebanon.
“We hold the Israeli enemy fully responsible for this criminal aggression,” commented the group, claiming then that Israel “will certainly receive its just punishment for this sinful aggression.”
Moreover, Hezbollah reiterated its full support for the Palestinian cause, stating that “This path is ongoing and separate from the difficult reckoning that the criminal enemy must await for its massacre on Tuesday”.

Since the events of October 7th, Hezbollah and the IDF have been involved in a daily struggle , causing a number of casualties that has exceeded the death toll of the 2006 war between the two parties.
Thousands of people have also been displaced due to the endless violence.
On September 18th US Secretary of State Antony Blinken landed in the region to discuss a possible ceasefire to the Israeli-Hamas conflict.
To this day, the war has led to the death of at least 41,252 people in the Strip, according to the Hamas-run territory’s health ministry.
