UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said the lack of accountability for the killing of United Nations staff and humanitarian aid workers in the Gaza Strip is “totally unacceptable” on September 11th, as reported by The Arab Weekly and agencies.

He also addressed Israel’s retaliation against Hamas in Gaza, where local health officials report that around 41,000 Palestinians have been killed since the war began.

Guterres stated that the conflict has seen “very dramatic violations of international humanitarian law” and a complete absence of effective civilian protection.
