Jordan warned Israel on November 21 that their peace accord would be in tatters should the country forcibly push Palestinians across the Jordanian River, reports Middle East Online.

Jordan has increased its military presence along the border with Israel as Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh affirmed that he would do “all the means in its power” to stop a brutal expulsion of Palestinians.

Israel’s pummeling of Gaza since the beginning of last month has resulted in the displacement of 1.6 million of the densely populated enclave’s 2.2 million inhabitants.
