Spanish PM stresses importance of Gaza ceasefire
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called for a ceasefire in Gaza on November 15, reports Middle East Monitor.
The socialist leader, who was recently re-elected, said, “We demand an immediate ceasefire on the part of Israel in Gaza and strict compliance with international humanitarian law, which today is clearly not respected”.
The Prime Minister also stressed the importance of recognising Palestine’s statehood and announced that his government had plans to achieve this goal.
