A US official anonymously claimed that the country killed 7 in airstrikes targeting Iran-backed militias in Syria on November 14, reports Reuters.

Since the beginning of October, the US troops’ army bases have been attacked at least 55 times. The militias said that the assaults were carried out due to Washington being a strong ally of Israel despite the Middle Eastern country’s repeated pummeling of Gaza.

The seven deaths would be the first since the US carried out revenge attacks on the gunmen. Other strikes have hit unoccupied facilities that contained weaponry and ammunition storage.
