Lebanese PM condemns Israeli threats
Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati called for Israeli provocations at the southern border to come to a halt, reports AFP, October 30.
In a recent interview with British broadcaster Sky News, Mikati said that amidst increasing tensions in the region, Lebanon is “in the eye of the storm”.
Recent clashes between Hezbollah and Israel have displaced around 29,000 Lebanese citizens living near the Israeli border.
As the country prepares for war with Israel, the Prime Minister said that the state was cooperating with international organisations should a major conflict break out.
