Israel’s hardline Prime Minister claimed that he was not aware of Hamas’ intentions to carry out an assault on the country, reports AFP, October 29.

A few weeks after the Palestinian militant group’s attack on Israel from Gaza, Benjamin Netanyahu had a pop at his intelligence chiefs.

In a now deleted X (formerly Twitter) post the far-right leader said, “At no time and no stage was a warning given to Prime Minister Netanyahu regarding war intentions of Hamas. On the contrary, all security officials, including the head of army intelligence and the head of the Shin Bet, estimated that Hamas was deterred and interested in an arrangement”.
