US strikes bases used by Iran-backed groups

The US carried out two airstrikes against weapon and ammunition storage facilities in Syria’s East on October 27, reports BBC News.

Washington’s Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin claimed that the strikes were in response to attacks on US military bases in Iraq and Syria by Iran-backed militias.

He also noted that the strikes were, “separate and distinct from the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas”.
