A convoy of 19 trucks arrived in Gaza on October 22 to bring aid to inhabitants, reports Asharq Al-Awsat and agencies. It was the second convoy in a number of days.

Since Hamas’ brutal assault on Israel earlier this month, the country ramped up hostilities and cut Gazans’ food, water, electricity, and medical supplies, a move that violates international law.

In a statement on October 22, Phillipe Lazzarini, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East’s (UNRWA) spokesman said, “Without fuel, there will be no water, no functioning hospitals and bakeries. Without fuel, aid will not reach many civilians in desperate need. Without fuel, there will be no humanitarian assistance,”.
