Germany warns against travelling to Israel, Palestine & Lebanon
On October 15, Germany’s Foreign Ministry warned its citizens against travelling to Palestine, Israel, and Lebanon amidst increased tensions in the region, reports German news outlet, Deutsche Welle (DW).
The Foreign Ministry’s warning comes just over a week after Hamas’ shock attack on Israel, which killed over a thousand.
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, who will travel to Israel on October 17, announced bans on Hamas-related activities and pro-Palestinian marches in the country.
Recently, large demonstrations took place is major German cities, and indeed all across the globe, despite the country’s crackdown on pro-Palestinian activism.
